South America - Day 11

Saturday - Round the Horn, then at sea

Up at 6.30 this morning as we approached Isla des Ornos and Cape Horn – the southernmost point of any land in the world except for Antarctica.

The day is beautiful with clear blue skies and just a gentle swell on the ocean – we are indeed lucky.

Herewith a couple of pictures of Cape Horn, and the rest of the day will be devoted to reading as we sail into the Atlantic en route to the Falkland Islands.
