South America - Day 5

Sunday - At sea

A grey day, very windy with big swells.  Tried walking the deck but the wind proved too strong – then on the way back inside we noticed the signs ordering people not to venture out.  Spent time on the computer editing some photos but did not touch a camera for the whole day so ‘today’s photos’ are non-existent.

Made it to dinner this time and met Joan’s husband Don, his brother Ken and wife Norma-Lynn - all good people to be with.

Afterwards we tried the movie theatre showing Apollo 18 – a mission which did not exist, but which the movie claimed did take place in secret.  It turned out to be a remake of Alien, filmed as if by the astronauts (think lunar landing from 1969) but with amazingly bad screenplay and acting. We gave up on it after 50 of its 90 minutes – so if it ever comes your way, give it a miss.

The sea was even rougher come bedtime and although we weren’t ill sleep was a long time coming as more than once we came close to being tossed out of bed to the floor.  Things calmed down when we left the open sea around 2 in the morning.
